                                                WANTED  –  URGENTLY

Nominations are required by RBGC vet players who wish to represent the club in upcoming away games. Nominations are required for all/any of the 3 games.

1st Game: Ormiston Rise & Tranquil Waters Sponsored Day

This game is scheduled to be played at Carbrook on Friday 30August.

2nd Game: Ormiston Rise & Tranquil Waters Sponsored Day

This game is scheduled to be played at Meadowbrook (Logan) on Monday 10 September.

3rd Game – Redland Bay /Carbrook Challenge

The 1st round of this reciprocal event is scheduled to be played at Carbrook GC on Thursday 27 September 2018. The game is a single stableford and has a 8.00am shotgun start. The top 7 scores from each club are totalled and then added to the top 7 scores when the return game  is played at Redland Bay on Monday 29 October. The highest aggregate score from both games then determines the winning club for the perpetual shield which is played for.

A nomination sheet will be available at the raffle table as from Monday 3 September and every Monday thereafter, otherwise a player can contact myself (Ron Pollock) or any Committee member to have their name added to the list.

Beaudesert GC Trip.

In addition to the 3 games listed above, we also have a 4th away game coming up. This game is scheduled for Monday 15 October 2018 and there will be no vets event on this day as the Redland Bay GC is closed for renovations. Players will be required to use their own private vehicles to play in this event as there is no bus provided. The cost of the game plus cart hire where applicable are still to be advised by Beaudesert GC. The Beaudesert GC now has a water irrigation system operating on all 18 holes and the playing conditions are improving every year.

A nomination sheet will be available at the raffle table as from Monday 3rd Sept and every Monday thereafter, otherwise a player can contact myself (Ron Pollock) or any Committee member to have their name added to the list.

In each game there are 3 divisions for males and 1 division for females with prize money for 1sr, 2nd & 3rd in each division and with prizes to the value of $80, $60 & $40. In addition to this, each club is required to provide finger food at the completion of the game to a value of $280

Also in addition, the 4 clubs involved are playing for a perpetual shield, which again we are the current holders. The winner of the shield is determined by taking the 10 top scores of each club and aggregated over the 4 rounds for each club.

Currently Redland Bay does not even have the required 10 players participating in each of these events.

Nomination forms for the 3 games are available every Monday at the vets raffle table, but if players are unable to nominate there, players can contact myself (Ron Pollock) or any other Committee member to add their name to the list. All nominations greatly welcomed and appreciated.
